PADI Open Water Diver
The PADI Open Water Diver course is the ticket to starting your underwater adventure. The course consists of 5 classroom sessions where the student will learn about the underwater environment and the basics of diving. The course book consists of five chapters which the student reads at home and completes the knowledge reviews. In the classroom the instructor will show the PADI DVD video, review the chapter and knowledge reviews and then give a short quiz on the material in that chapter. During the final classroom session there will be a short final exam. In conjunction with each classroom session there will be a pool session held at either Hollis school's pool or the new Five Points in Washington. During the pool sessions the student will learn and review basic skills involved in recreational open water diving. To complete the program the student will complete four Open Water training dives. These dives can be completed in the Peoria area or on one of our short weekend trips.
