CONTINUING EDUCATION
 If you've ever thought about becoming Rescue Diver Certified, now is the time to start clearing your calendar... we've got a Rescue Diver Course scheduled to begin JULY 14TH... this is the most useful skill set you can have that we hope you'll never have to use. But... it's also an incredible way to take your SCUBA skills and diving confidence to a whole new level.
It is also a prerequiste if you're thinking about Divemaster!!!
Whether you are learning new skills... or just refreshing old ones... continuing education is something we as divers need to continuously think about... not only for ourselves... but for the benefit or our 'dive buddies'... regardless of who they may turn out to be. |

'because the pool is ALWAYS open'
We're putting the final touches on the "Three Quarries" trip... this is going to be an extended trip out to Ohio to take a shot at diving White Star, Gilboa and Portage Quarrys. We're going to be looking for a hotel in a central location between the three as a base of operations but you can camp... do one or two of the quarries... or ad-lib your own intinerary. Should be a lot of fun.

Dive-a-Month dives are open to anybody who wants to pack their gear and head out with us. Basic requirement is a sense of adventure and a willingness to make some road trips.
Occasionally we need to make advanced reservations... letting us know early that you're interested in a particular trip is extremely helpful.

July 25th... The Jim Haigh Memorial dive at Haigh Quarry.
This is always a fun time. Give some thought to attending this year and showing your support and appreciation to Tina, her staff and a facility that has supported the midwest dive community for so long.
August 13 - 15th - Portage Quarry (Bowling Green - Ohio) The FIFTH annual International Legends of Diving Festival... Every year Portage Quarry honors the legends of our sport. Enjoy a weekend of presentations, events, contests, raffles, movies and a swap meet. Past honorees have included Bob Croft, Nick Icorn, Zale Parry, Dr. Sam Miller and Bob Meistrell.
June Observances: Air Conditioning Appreciation Days (7/3 - 8/15), National "Doghouse Repairs" Month, National Grilling Month, National Hot Dog Month and National Women's Motorcycle Month... then we have Be Nice to New Jersey Week (4-10), Sports Cliche' Week (11-17) and National Ventriloquism Week (6-19). ... and finally, Zip Code Day (1st), I Forgot Day (2nd), Dont' Step on a Bee Day (10th), Gummi Worm Day (15th), Rat Catcher's Day (22nd) and Cheesecake Day (30th)... something for EVERYONE...
